Signing Up - When you sign up, a secure, online member profile is created for you with your share options, your pick-up location, and your account activity. You can view and edit your account, change your pick up location, credit card info, or password and even place a vacation or suspension hold just by signing in to your account.

Payments - We bill your Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card the day after your food waste is picked up. It’s automatic and you will get a statement by email. We do not store any of your personal or financial information on our website. Our order site is run by Farmigo and your information is stored securely by Authorize.net.

Pick Up Days - Please remember to have your bucket(s) out before 5am on your specific pick up date; the night before is even better. Empire Zero will not be able to make any service exceptions to return later that day or until the next established pick up day.

Missing Your Pick Up - If you miss your pick up, please contact us. We will do our best to make an arrangement for pick up or help you figure out how to store the coming week's food waste.  We’re sorry but we cannot give a credit for weeks that buckets are not out and no hold or notice was given; as long as you give us 2 days notice or put a hold on your account we can refund the week.

Compost Exchange - We are currently committed to delivering finished compost twice per year, for a total of roughly 10 gallons or 2 cubic feet. Timing of these deliveries is subject to change due to supply and other issues out of our control. Any extra compost may be sold through our webstore, which you can access in your account. We will communicate the details of these specific sales as they occur. If you ever do not want your compost please let us know and we will make sure it finds a good home!

Vacation and Suspension Holds - You may put your Empire Zero pick ups on hold by logging into your account. Please do this 4 days before your pick up day for the coming week. Your credit/debit card will not be charged while your delivery is on hold. For emergencies, call Kyle at 617-686-4566.

Communications - Empire Zero communicates with you via email on a regular basis to inform you of a payment or to remind you of a scheduled pick up. Sometimes we will need to send out alerts about the pick ups, community and regional compost or food waste activity, or new options for our program. By becoming a member of our program, you are agreeing to open and read all email communications as soon as you see them since much of the information is time sensitive.

Cancellations - You may cancel your subscription at any time, giving us 3 days notice before your pick up day by calling 518-788-7423 or sending an email to klanzit@empirezerowaste.com. Please be sure you get a confirmation email back confirming your cancellation.

Holiday Changes - We will give you plenty of notice about holiday date changes.

Privacy Policy - We do not sell, rent or give our email list, customer list or any personal /financial information to anyone. EVER!
